Your checklist for AirnTV on LG Smart TV
- webOS 3.0 or newer on the TV, which most LG models from about 2016 onward have
- An LG account, without which the store will not download
- The Xtream lines or the M3U link from your AirnTV WhatsApp chat
- A network cable when the router is far off, which pays off most during live games
No login yet? Grab a 24-hour AirnTV trial, no card needed, and set it up on a real game night. Want to know where your games usually air? The AirnTV sports hub maps the sports groups, and the live IPTV explainer covers how channels reach you as they air. When you are ready, check plan lengths and screen counts.
AirnTV on LG Smart TV in 11 steps, ending at the live sports groups
Find your webOS version
The webOS number appears on the TV information page inside Settings. Version 3.0 and newer handle current players well. Older NetCast models only accept an outdated Smart IPTV build, and plugging a streaming stick into HDMI gives those TVs a far better game day.
Open Apps and sign in to LG
From Home, open Apps (older firmware says LG Content Store). Log in with an LG account, ideally created on your phone first. Point the Magic Remote at the search icon and type the player name.
Choose a player and install it
Search for IPTV Smarters Pro. It costs nothing, uses the Xtream login and arranges Live TV in clear categories, but a few regions do not carry it. Smart IPTV needs less power and suits older LG processors. When its trial ends, the developer bills each TV once (5.49 EUR in September 2026) for the software.
Connect the player to AirnTV
Smarters takes the Xtream Codes API route: copy in server, username and password as we sent them. Smart IPTV is set from a phone browser: note the MAC on screen, enter it at siptv.app/mylist with the M3U link and press send. Relaunch the app to load channels.
Let channels and the guide finish loading
The opening sync pulls every live group along with the TV guide. Give older LG processors some minutes before you start browsing; every launch after that is fast. Set the TV clock to automatic too, or guide times drift and a game looks like it starts at the wrong hour.
Reach sports quickly with the Magic Remote
Open Live TV in Smarters and point at the categories on the left. Roll the wheel to fly through the groups. Sports are divided by sport and by region, so US football, basketball, soccer and fight channels each sit apart. Click a group, then a channel.
Favorite the channels you watch weekly
Use the favorite option on each channel you depend on: the regional sports network, the national networks, your soccer channel. Five to ten is plenty. On game day, Favorites puts the right channel one click away rather than deep in a long list.
Choose a picture mode for fast motion
Many LG sets include a Sports picture mode, and most offer a motion option called TruMotion or something close in the picture menu. Try them during a live game the day before. A gentle motion level smooths camera pans; a strong one can make the ball look strange.
Keep the line steady for live games
For live sport on any TV, a cable from the router is the top upgrade. On Wi-Fi, choose 5 GHz. Standby on webOS keeps memory full, so unplug the TV for a minute an hour before kickoff, then open the player and let your channel play for a few minutes.
Try it on a real game first
The evening before, watch a live game at the time you plan to watch, on the same channel. Check favorites, sound and the picture mode. If anything seems off, message our team then rather than during the first half.
Use the login on another screen
Phones, tablets and other TVs accept these details too. Up to five can stream at once, depending on the plan, so two rooms can follow two games. Favorites and Smart IPTV activations stay on the device that made them, while guide data and catch-up, where offered, come with the login.
LG player availability and game-day prep
LG runs its own store, and the player list changes by country. At our last check, IPTV Smarters Pro appeared in many regions and Smart IPTV in most, but we cannot promise a given app on your exact model. Message us your webOS version on WhatsApp for a current pick. The LG US support site has the manual for your set, including the picture mode names.
If the store lets you down, a Fire OS stick or a Google TV streamer on HDMI runs TiViMate with the same login. Our Firestick walkthrough and Google TV walkthrough cover both.
Know where the game is before kickoff
We carry channels, not rights. Which game a network shows depends on its deal for that season and region. The US sports IPTV page lists the networks that usually carry each league, the soccer page covers MLS, Liga MX and the European leagues, and the channel overview shows how the live groups are laid out.
Where the Live and Sports groups sit on LG Smart TV
Menu labels move around between firmware and app updates, so treat this as a guide, not gospel. If your screen says something slightly different, pick the nearest match and keep going.
| Game-day job | Smarters Pro (LG build) | Smart IPTV (LG build) |
|---|---|---|
| Jump to the sports groups | Live TV, categories on the left | Scroll the playlist groups |
| Favorite a channel | Favorite option on the channel | Basic favorites on list items |
| Quick scrolling | Roll the Magic Remote wheel over the list | Roll the wheel over the groups |
| Sharper fast motion | TV Settings, Picture, mode and motion options | The same TV menu |
| Guide shows the right hour | Time and Date, under General, System in All Settings | The same TV menu |
Prefer the official word on menus and settings? Go to the LG US support, manuals and picture settings. Which game a channel shows depends on that broadcaster's rights for the season and region. Before you commit, use the trial to open the networks you follow, preferably during a live game.
Live game stuttering? Run through this before kickoff
- The line: plug in an Ethernet cable, or sit near the router on 5 GHz Wi-Fi; a 2.4 GHz signal through two walls struggles with fast action.
- The household: pause console updates, big downloads and cloud backups while the game is on.
- The player: raise the buffer one step where the app has that setting, and keep hardware decoding on unless one channel misbehaves.
- The picture: turn on frame-rate matching if your device offers it, so 60 fps sport does not judder.
- The channel: if one version of a channel stutters, try another version in the same group and tell support which one it was.
Picture quality on AirnTV runs from HD through FHD to 4K, and 4K appears only when a broadcaster supplies it. For bandwidth and device needs, read what a 4K IPTV setup requires. Planning fight nights or race weekends? The live events page helps.
Common LG Smart TV problems on game night, and the fixes
You hear sound but see nothing
The TV is failing to decode that stream. Update the app, then open its settings and pick another decoder or player engine if one is listed. When a single channel always fails while others are fine, pass its name to our team.
Apps shows no players at all
The store shows apps for the country set on the TV. Correct that setting and search again. Still empty? Tell our team your webOS version, or add an HDMI streaming stick.
Live TV opens to an empty screen
A large lineup needs time on its first run. Wait, then relaunch the app. Still empty? Log out of that Smarters profile and in again with the Xtream lines, which fill categories more dependably than an M3U login.
Smarters will not accept the login
Pointer typing invites near-miss keys. Enter the server once more, starting http:// and ending with the port, and look at password capitals. Delete any stale autofill. An expired trial or plan also fails, because nothing renews automatically.
A live game freezes often
Start with the network: cable or 5 GHz makes the largest difference. Close other apps and stop downloads around the house. Pull the TV plug for a minute to clear memory. If one channel still freezes while the rest play, tell our team which.
Guide times are an hour out
The clock or time zone on the TV is wrong. Under General, System in All Settings, open Time and Date (webOS 6 onward), switch to automatic time and check the zone. Restart the player so the guide reloads with correct times.
The app freezes on its logo screen
Unplug the television for a minute, since standby leaves memory clogged. Try the app again. If it sticks, update it in Apps, or delete it, install it fresh and re-enter the AirnTV login.

AirnTV on LG Smart TV: your questions
What does IPTV setup on LG webOS involve?
Three things: a player from the LG store, your login, and a few minutes of loading. Smarters fits most sets and Smart IPTV older ones. Smarters takes the AirnTV Xtream lines; Smart IPTV takes the M3U link through siptv.app/mylist. Let the channels load, open the sports groups and favorite your weekly channels. Budget ten minutes on a recent webOS set.
Where do LG players put the sports channels?
IPTV Smarters Pro shows them under Live TV, in categories on the left, split by sport and region. In Smart IPTV, every channel group sits in one playlist and sport is a scroll away. Either way you are browsing the same AirnTV lineup of 25,000+ live channels.
Is a streaming stick necessary for an LG TV?
Usually not. Sets with webOS 3.0 onward run a store player that connects straight to AirnTV. A stick earns its place on older NetCast sets, when your store offers no player, or when you want TiViMate, which has never come to webOS.
Which LG picture mode works best for sport?
Start with the Sports picture mode if your set has one, and compare it with Standard during a live game. A gentle motion setting, often named TruMotion, smooths camera pans, while strong settings can make the ball look odd. Test the day before so the game starts with the picture you prefer.
Will Smart IPTV cost extra on my LG?
Only after the free trial: a single payment per set, quoted at 5.49 EUR in September 2026. It pays for the software, not for channels. Your AirnTV plan supplies the live lineup and sports groups, attached to the TV by its MAC on the siptv.app site.
Will a game on my phone stop the LG TV?
Not if the plan has two or more screens; then both run on one login. With a single screen, starting the phone ends the TV stream. Plans come in 1, 2, 3 or 5 screens, and you can adjust the count at any renewal if your household watches more games at once.
