Your checklist for AirnTV on MAG and Formuler box
- A MAG unit (current 500-line models like the 524 and 540) or a Formuler Z-line box with MyTVOnline installed
- The hardware (MAC) code from the bottom label; on MAG units it always opens with 00:1A:79
- Your AirnTV portal link, or Xtream details if the box is a Formuler, both delivered by WhatsApp
- A network cable long enough to reach the router, plus one spare HDMI socket on the TV
No login yet? Grab a 24-hour AirnTV trial, no card needed, and set it up on a real game night. Want to know where your games usually air? The AirnTV sports hub maps the sports groups, and the live IPTV explainer covers how channels reach you as they air. When you are ready, check plan lengths and screen counts.
AirnTV on MAG and Formuler box in 11 steps, ending at the live sports groups
Decide how each box will sign in
MAG hardware knows one method only: a portal that we lock to its own hardware code. Formuler owners get two options. MyTVOnline can load a portal as well, or it can take Xtream details instead. Pick a route for every box you own and mention it when you first message us, so we send back matching details.
Photograph the hardware code
Look under the unit for the label holding the MAC. MAG owners can also find it on the device info page in the menus. Snap a clear picture rather than typing it out, since zeros and capital O characters get mixed up easily. Once we have it, the box is linked to your account and the portal link comes back fast, often inside 15 minutes.
On a MAG, type the portal link
Start at the MAG main menu and go into Settings, then System settings. Look for Servers, and inside it, Portals. Label the first slot AirnTV, then copy our link letter for letter, keeping any trailing slash. Save, restart, and from now on the portal loads at power-on. Newer firmware may word these menus a bit differently.
On a Formuler, add a connection in MyTVOnline
Launch MyTVOnline and start a fresh connection entry. Portal users paste the link we sent. Xtream users change the type, then key in server, username and password. Because Android sits underneath, you can later install TiViMate on the same box and reuse those details at no extra cost.
Head into Live TV and read the group list
From the portal home, pick Live TV, which some portals label TV or Channels. A column of groups appears at the side. Our lineup sorts sports networks by sport and by region, so expect groups along the lines of US sports, soccer, combat sports or racing. Labels vary by portal, so give the list one full read.
Reach a network without scrolling
Arrowing through a huge lineup wastes the first quarter. On most MAG portals you can punch a channel number into the remote and land on it instantly, and plenty include a search button too. MyTVOnline places its search icon at the head of the list. Write down where your usual game networks live.
Pin your game-night channels
Select a channel, then hit the favorites button the hint bar points to, frequently a colored key. MyTVOnline users hold OK and drop the channel into a favorites group. Keep that group lean: networks that air your league, one news channel and a fallback for the same game.
Read the listings ahead of kickoff
From the channel list, open the program guide to see what is airing now and next. That tells you which network has tonight's game, which matters because rights shift from season to season. A blank listing row is not proof the game is absent, so tune in and look.
Enable frame-rate matching if your model has it
A lot of live sport is broadcast at 50 or 60 frames per second, whereas movies are usually 24. Newer MAG firmware and current Formuler models offer an automatic frame-rate switch under video or display settings. With it on, the TV follows each channel and fast camera sweeps look steadier. Without it, keep the video output set to Auto.
Plug in a cable before a big matchup
Live video has almost no head start, because the play is happening this second. So a steady connection counts for more on game day than on movie night. Run Ethernet from router to box, and hold off on console patches or large downloads until the final whistle. When one feed of a network stutters, its sibling feed in that group often plays clean.
Set up a second room for a second game
Each portal belongs to a single hardware code, which means another MAG needs its own activation. Sticks, tablets and phones can use Xtream details instead. Plans allow one, two, three or five simultaneous streams, so two games in two rooms requires a two-screen plan or bigger. Message us about the extra device and we get it ready.
MAG versus Formuler: where the live groups and sports channels are
Each box opens the full AirnTV lineup of 25,000+ live channels, but the layouts differ. Keep this chart handy during your first session.
| Job | MAG (portal) | Formuler (MyTVOnline) |
|---|---|---|
| How it signs in | Portal locked to the hardware code | Portal, or Xtream details |
| Get to sports | Live TV, then the side group column | Live TV, then the group panel |
| Pin a network | Colored favorites key from the hint bar | Hold OK, choose a favorites group |
| Check what is airing | Guide key from the channel list | MyTVOnline EPG screen |
| Match frame rate | Video menu on newer firmware | Display menu on current models |
| Add other players | Not possible | Yes, Android apps like TiViMate |
Not sure which networks to pin? The AirnTV sports hub shows how our sports groups are arranged. Football, basketball, baseball and hockey fans should see the US sports channel guide, while the soccer streaming page covers MLS, Liga MX and European leagues. Formuler owners can also load TiViMate on the box with identical details.
Match-day checklist for a set-top box
Go through this the day before a big fixture. Restart the box, open the sports group you will need and leave a channel playing for ten minutes. Confirm the guide clock is right, the cable is seated and nobody has a giant download lined up for the evening. Planning a fight card, a race weekend or an awards show? Our live events guide explains what kinds of channels tend to carry them.
Picture quality comes in 4K, FHD and HD, with 4K wherever the broadcaster provides it. The older MAG 250 and 322 top out at Full HD, which still looks great for a ballgame. Infomir, the company behind MAG, publishes model specs and firmware release notes in its MAG documentation wiki, and Formuler lists every model on the official Formuler website.
Still deciding? Put it through a real game with the 24-hour AirnTV free trial (no card), then see plan lengths and screen options. First orders come with a 7-day refund window.
Prefer the official word on menus and settings? Go to the Infomir website, home of the MAG range. Which game a channel shows depends on that broadcaster's rights for the season and region. Before you commit, use the trial to open the networks you follow, preferably during a live game.
Live game stuttering? Run through this before kickoff
- The line: plug in an Ethernet cable, or sit near the router on 5 GHz Wi-Fi; a 2.4 GHz signal through two walls struggles with fast action.
- The household: pause console updates, big downloads and cloud backups while the game is on.
- The player: raise the buffer one step where the app has that setting, and keep hardware decoding on unless one channel misbehaves.
- The picture: turn on frame-rate matching if your device offers it, so 60 fps sport does not judder.
- The channel: if one version of a channel stutters, try another version in the same group and tell support which one it was.
Picture quality on AirnTV runs from HD through FHD to 4K, and 4K appears only when a broadcaster supplies it. For bandwidth and device needs, read what a 4K IPTV setup requires. Planning fight nights or race weekends? The live events page helps.
Common MAG and Formuler box problems on game night, and the fixes
Blank portal or an STB blocked message
Either activation is still in progress, or we read one character of the code wrong. Send a sharper picture of the label by WhatsApp. When the right code is on file, a restart usually brings the portal up in minutes.
The sports group is gone or half empty
Restart so the portal pulls a fresh lineup, and wait about a minute. Group names occasionally change after a lineup update, so read the whole column. If it never shows, WhatsApp support and we will refresh your line.
Audio plays but the screen stays black
That feed probably uses a format the box cannot decode. Lots of sports networks have two or more feeds in the same group, so choose the FHD or HD one. On older MAG hardware, this solves it nearly every time.
Stutter right when the play gets exciting
Quick motion needs more data than a talk show. Go wired, reboot the router and stop heavy traffic elsewhere at home. On a MAG, the Network info page shows whether the box got an address. If one feed keeps stuttering, move to its sibling.
Listings show the wrong hour
MAG units set their clock from an NTP server. In System settings, open the server options, type pool.ntp.org as the NTP address, confirm your time zone and restart. With a right clock, kickoff times line up again.
Camera pans look choppy
The box output does not match the frame rate of the channel. Switch on automatic frame-rate matching if the firmware offers it. Otherwise, set the output resolution to your TV and leave the rate on Auto.

AirnTV on MAG and Formuler box: your questions
MAG or Formuler: which one for live sport?
Formuler, for most fans, because it is more flexible. MyTVOnline lays out channel groups clearly, and because it runs Android you can add TiViMate for buffer and frame-rate control. A MAG keeps things simple with one portal and a tough remote, and it opens the identical AirnTV sports groups. Either one shines on a wired line.
Does a MAG box ask for a password?
No password is involved. The MAG proves who it is through its hardware code, so after AirnTV turns the portal on, you only type the portal link. Formuler owners can follow that same path or sign in with Xtream details instead. Both routes land on the same live lineup and sports groups.
How do I find sports channels on a MAG portal?
Open Live TV and look at the group column at the side of the screen. AirnTV arranges sports networks by sport and by region, so you will spot groups for US sports, soccer, combat sports and similar. Portal and firmware labels differ a little, so read the list once and pin what you watch.
Two TVs, two games: does that work?
It does, provided your plan has two screens or more. Every TV showing a channel takes one stream. An extra MAG needs its own portal activation, while a stick, phone or tablet can sign in with Xtream details. Plans come in 1, 2, 3 and 5 screen sizes, and you can switch size at renewal.
Can STBEmu on an Android stick replace a MAG?
In many homes, yes. STBEmu emulates MAG portal software and runs on Android TV boxes plus certain Fire OS sticks. It generates a hardware code of its own, and AirnTV activates that code just like a real unit. How quickly it flips channels depends on the stick; TiViMate tends to zap between sports networks faster.
Is a 4K box necessary for watching sport?
Not at all. Full HD looks crisp for sport, and most sports networks broadcast in HD or FHD. AirnTV streams in 4K, FHD and HD, using 4K only where the broadcaster sends it. A current 4K model helps on those channels, yet a cabled connection does more for smooth live games than resolution.
What about boxes sold as fully loaded?
We would skip it. Preloaded boxes promising lifetime TV usually hinge on a reseller who can disappear overnight, and the service vanishes too. Buy an ordinary MAG or Formuler from a mainstream store and pick a provider you can try first. AirnTV includes a 24-hour test with no card, and nothing renews by itself.
