Your checklist for AirnTV on Apple TV and iPhone
- Apple TV 4K or HD, or any iPhone or iPad kept on current software
- An Apple Account allowed to download free apps
- The AirnTV login lines from our WhatsApp chat
- Home Wi-Fi for the opening sync, plus Ethernet on the Apple TV for live games
No login yet? Grab a 24-hour AirnTV trial, no card needed, and set it up on a real game night. Want to know where your games usually air? The AirnTV sports hub maps the sports groups, and the live IPTV explainer covers how channels reach you as they air. When you are ready, check plan lengths and screen counts.
AirnTV on Apple TV and iPhone in 10 steps, ending at the live sports groups
Pick which device goes first
All Apple devices use the same app with nearly the same layout. Apple TV is the obvious home for game night on the big screen, while an iPhone suits a quick test when the TV is busy. After one device works, each additional one takes only minutes.
Download Smarters Player Lite
Search Smarters Player Lite in the App Store. Before you tap Get, check that WHMCS SMARTERS is named as developer, because lookalikes borrow the Smarters and TiViMate names. The app costs nothing; a Premium add-on cost 1.99 dollars in September 2026 and AirnTV does not need it.
Add the AirnTV login
Launch the app and choose Xtream Codes as the login method. On a phone, press and hold each line in our message, copy, then paste it in place. On Apple TV, a keyboard alert pops up on your iPhone; typing there is much faster than with the Siri Remote.
Load everything once over Wi-Fi
Now the app pulls every live group, the TV guide and the 120,000+ title library, which takes a couple of minutes on broadband. Keep mobile data out of it. Afterwards only changes download, and launches are quick.
Go to Live TV and the sports groups
Pick the Live TV tile on the home screen. Categories come first; scroll down to the sports groups, divided by sport and region, swiping on the Siri Remote touch surface or with a finger. Open a group, choose a channel and read the guide line to see what is airing.
Favorite your weekly channels
On each channel you count on, use the favorite option to save it: your regional sports network, the national networks, a soccer or fight channel. On game day, Favorites gets you to the match in two moves. Every device keeps a separate list.
Switch on Match Frame Rate
On Apple TV 4K or HD, go to Settings, Video and Audio, Match Content and enable Match Frame Rate. American games mostly run near 60 fps and many soccer feeds from Europe at 50. Matching shows each at its native rate, so long passes and pans look even. The screen may blink briefly while it switches.
Cable the Apple TV for live games
Apple TV 4K models with an Ethernet port hold a live stream best on a wire. On Wi-Fi, keep close to the router and use 5 GHz. Skip AirPlay from a phone for live sport, as it sends the stream across your network twice. An hour before kickoff, restart via Settings, System, Restart.
Test it the evening before
Watch a live game on the channel you plan to use, at roughly the same hour. Check the picture after Match Frame Rate kicks in, the sound through your speakers and your favorites list. Anything odd still leaves time to message our team.
Put the login on more Apple devices
Install the app on every iPhone, iPad or Apple TV you want and sign in with the same details. Your plan decides how many stream together, from 1 to 5 screens, so the iPad can carry one game while the TV shows another. The guide and catch-up on supported channels come with the login.
Game day on Apple devices
Apple TV makes a strong sports box once two settings are right: Ethernet and Match Frame Rate. Apple explains the frame-rate option in its Match Content support article. With both on, a 50 fps soccer feed and a 60 fps US broadcast each play at their own rate.
Phones and iPads are great second screens. Keep a stats app on one and the game on the TV, or run a second game on the iPad on a plan with two or more screens. Our guide to choosing IPTV for sports explains how many screens a sports household tends to need.
Find the channel before the game
- US sports channels on IPTV: the networks that usually carry NFL, NBA, MLB, NHL and college games.
- Soccer on IPTV: where MLS, Liga MX and European leagues usually air in the US.
- Fight nights, races and live events: how pay-per-view works with an IPTV lineup.
We carry channels, not rights, and what each network shows depends on its deals that season. Looking for an official AirnTV app in the App Store? Read why there is no AirnTV app and which trusted players to use instead.
Where the Live and Sports groups sit on Apple TV and iPhone
Menu labels move around between firmware and app updates, so treat this as a guide, not gospel. If your screen says something slightly different, pick the nearest match and keep going.
| Game-day job | On Apple TV (Siri Remote) | On iPhone and iPad |
|---|---|---|
| Jump to the sports groups | Live TV tile, then categories | Live TV tile, then categories |
| Favorite a channel | Favorite option on the channel | Favorite option on the channel |
| Play 50 and 60 fps feeds cleanly | Settings, Video and Audio, Match Content | Not needed on the built-in screen |
| Captions in a loud room | Swipe down while playing, then subtitles if the stream has them | Tap the picture, then the subtitle icon |
| Typing the login faster | Use the keyboard prompt on a nearby iPhone | Copy each line from WhatsApp and paste |
Prefer the official word on menus and settings? Go to the Apple Support: Match Frame Rate on Apple TV. Which game a channel shows depends on that broadcaster's rights for the season and region. Before you commit, use the trial to open the networks you follow, preferably during a live game.
Live game stuttering? Run through this before kickoff
- The line: plug in an Ethernet cable, or sit near the router on 5 GHz Wi-Fi; a 2.4 GHz signal through two walls struggles with fast action.
- The household: pause console updates, big downloads and cloud backups while the game is on.
- The player: raise the buffer one step where the app has that setting, and keep hardware decoding on unless one channel misbehaves.
- The picture: turn on frame-rate matching if your device offers it, so 60 fps sport does not judder.
- The channel: if one version of a channel stutters, try another version in the same group and tell support which one it was.
Picture quality on AirnTV runs from HD through FHD to 4K, and 4K appears only when a broadcaster supplies it. For bandwidth and device needs, read what a 4K IPTV setup requires. Planning fight nights or race weekends? The live events page helps.
Common Apple TV and iPhone problems on game night, and the fixes
A channel is listed yet will not start
Check the app settings for a player engine choice. Moving off the default often wakes stubborn streams. If one channel still fails while others play, send its name to our team on WhatsApp and they will check it.
The app looks different from this guide
You have likely installed a lookalike. Remove it and find the listing published by WHMCS SMARTERS. Nothing changes on your AirnTV account; enter the same details in the real app and carry on. Never pay a copycat app for channels.
The Live TV categories are empty
Make sure you picked the Xtream login and not an M3U option, then reload the profile. A big lineup can take a few minutes on the first sync, so keep the app open on Wi-Fi.
The TV goes black as a game begins
Match Frame Rate is switching the TV to the stream rate, which takes a second or two. If your TV takes longer or shows an error, check the HDMI cable and port, or turn the option off and accept mild judder on 50 fps feeds.
AirPlay cuts out during a game
With AirPlay the stream travels to the phone, then back through the router to the TV, doubling the load. Run the app on the Apple TV directly. If you have to cast, stay near the router and switch off Low Data Mode for your home Wi-Fi in iPhone settings.
The App Store cannot find the app
The App Store shows apps for your account region, wherever you happen to be. After a move abroad, the listing can vanish until that region is updated. Try the full name first; failing that, our team can recommend another player that accepts the same login.
The game stops when the iPhone locks
When the display sleeps, video usually halts unless the app offers picture in picture. Lengthen Auto-Lock in Settings, Display and Brightness, leave the phone charging, or move the game to the Apple TV.

AirnTV on Apple TV and iPhone: your questions
What should I download for IPTV on Apple TV?
Smarters Player Lite, published by WHMCS SMARTERS and free on the tvOS App Store. Pick the Xtream Codes login, enter your AirnTV details (an iPhone nearby can serve as the keyboard) and let the channels load. Then open Live TV, go to the sports groups and favorite your channels. Plan on about eight minutes.
Is TiViMate available for Apple devices?
No. The TiViMate developer builds for Android hardware alone, so any lookalike in the App Store is someone else's product. Use Smarters Player Lite on Apple gear. If you want the TiViMate guide grid for game days, connect a Google TV or Fire OS streamer to the TV and use the same login.
Should Match Frame Rate be on for sport?
Yes. In Settings, Video and Audio, Match Content on the Apple TV, turn on Match Frame Rate. US broadcasts generally run near 60 fps and many European soccer feeds at 50. Matching plays each at its own rate, so pans look smooth. Expect the screen to blink for a second as it switches.
Can I stream AirnTV on a MacBook or iMac?
Yes. On M-series Macs, Smarters Player Lite installs from the Mac App Store and signs in through Xtream with the usual Live TV categories. On Intel models, VLC plays the AirnTV M3U link, but every channel sits in one long column. Our computer guide explains both options.
Is Smarters Player Lite Premium required?
You can skip it. Without paying, the app logs in to AirnTV and plays every live channel, sports group and library title. Premium (1.99 dollars in September 2026) adds app conveniences only. All content comes through your AirnTV plan, so in-app purchases are never required.
Can the iPad and Apple TV play different games together?
Yes, when your plan includes two screens or more. Each playing device takes one slot. One slot means one device; 2, 3 or 5 slots let separate rooms watch separate games, each keeping its own starred channels. Saving the login on extra devices costs nothing; only active streams count.
